Therapy Using Nature's Own Forces.

The bionator is a treatment appliance for functional orthodontics.
The removable appliance sits loosely in your mouth and it forms the natural position of your teeth with every swallow and while you are speaking.
And this takes place utilizing just the jaw's own forces.
It acts simultaneously on both jaws, and it also gently forms the facial region.
The result is that a cramped bite and physiognomic deformations are slowly corrected. In other words, it corrects misalignments of the teeth and of the jaw at the same time.

The Bionator and Its Construction
The bionator has an outer arch of wire that has two large loops at the sides.
Their purpose is to prevent the molars from coming into contact with the muscles of the cheek and injuring them.
The tongue is guided to the gums with a small half-round bow, which constantly stimulates the tongue to align the teeth on its own
(i.e., without other aids) and to bring the jaw into the correct position.
There are different bionator constructions that are used depending on indication.

The Bionator - not just for aesthetic reasons!
By guiding the lower jaw back into its natural position, the spine also straightens upward leading to improved posture, improved breathing and improved ventilation of the sinuses, which all promote a positive development of the oral cavity.
This holistic approach to orthodontics can alleviate or even eliminate a number of diverse symptoms, such as:
| |
Respiratory Disorders |
| |
Asthma, chronic inflammation of the throat, nose and middle ear, as well as other infections. |
| |
Posture Disorders and Disorders of the Locomotory System |
| |
Disorders affecting the muscles, bones and joints.
| |
Psychological/ Emotional and Nervous Disorders |
| |
Frequent headaches, poor concentration, poor memory, lack of attentiveness, lack of stamina, psycho-vegetative problems, mood swings, nervousness, aggressiveness, and lack of self-confidence.
| |
Bionator treatment can effect the following changes:
| |
From breathing through the mouth to breathing through the nose |
| |
Posture -
from stooped to standing up straight |
| |
Functional improvement of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and jaw pains diminish |
| |
Functional improvement of the shoulder/neck regions and pains diminish |
| |
Reduced lymph congestion in the head and throat region, which may also reduce tinnitus (ear ringing) |
| |
Reduced frequency of pains in the facial and neck regions |
| |
The cosmetic effect is certainly important ? but the much more beneficial effects of bionator treatment are the invisible changes the bionator produces throughout the entire body by changing the vibrational response of the throat region.
This can eliminate respiratory problems by influencing a problem with the cervical vertebra.
The bionator works by influencing the finest connections that exist between interlinked physiological mechanisms and
it utilizes the body's own energy flow and resonances to promote self-healing.

Suitable for Children and Adults Alike
When children and youths wear a bionator early enough during their growth phase, it works especially quickly and effectively.
But this holistic approach to orthodontics can also be used to treat adults who have functional problems with their bite (malocclusion). In other words, bionator treatment can benefit adults just as much as children and youths.
